The TripStop S Profile comes in a larger range of sizes, with 150mm thick concrete now catered for with our TS150S (150mm) profile. The TripStop TS75S Profile was the first of the new generation products off the line. Featuring a compact design and lightweight construction, the TS75S is suitable for any 75mm thick path installation. The unique patented design allows for lift and fall of the path without displacing or cracking due to soil movement and/or tree root invasion.
The light construction of 75mm thick concrete paths often means that the paths are more susceptible to being damaged by vehicles. They are generally only suitable for light pedestrian usage where there is no vehicle interaction, such as pedestrian laneways and bike tracks.
The TripStop TS100S Profile is currently the most popular of the new generation products off the line. The unique patented design of the TS100S allows for lift and fall of the path without displacing or cracking due to soil movement and/or tree root invasion.
The 100mm profile is the most commonly used in Australia today. The 100mm thickness of the concrete provides the greatest balance between economy and longevity, being less likely to crack when light vehicles drive over it. Whilst it is not designed for heavy use, it will sustain light usage, such as in driveways and crossovers.
The TripStop TS125S Profile is perfect for installations where heavy traffic is a consideration. The unique patented design of the TS125S allows for lift and fall of the path without displacing or cracking due to soil movement and/or tree root invasion.
The 125mm profile is regularly specified in areas where there are high traffic volumes, or where there is medium use of heavy vehicles. The 125mm thickness of the concrete provides a much higher protection rating against cracking and damage from traffic, whilst the added benefit of TripStop will ensure that any soil movement or tree root invasion is accounted for.
The TripStop TS150S Profile is the big brother of the next generation TripStop range. The unique patented design of the TS150S allows for lift and fall of the path without displacing or cracking due to soil movement and/or tree root invasion.
The 150mm profile is generally used where longevity is a must, particularly where heavy vehicle use comes into play. The 150mm thickness of the concrete provides an excellent protection rating against cracking and damage from traffic and ensures minimal movement over time. Adding TripStop to these installations ensures the highest level of protection for the installation.
The TripStop 75mm profile was the pioneer for TripStop, being the first profile created and successfully tested under laboratory conditions.
TripStop 75mm is for 'old school' 75mm thick paths. These days most new paths are 100 and 125mm thick. Their light construction often means that these paths are more susceptible to being damaged by vehicles.
100mm TripStop is our most popular size for new work.
TripStop 100mm offers the greatest economy and longevity in new concrete paths as 100mm is less likely to crack than 75mm when vehicles drive over them.
All TripStop products come as a complete product set, including TripStop Pegs and Wedges. Every order includes an appropriate amount of Pegs and Wedges to perform the full installation.
We recommend using three Pegs and Wedges per 1.2m to 1.4m length, 4 per 1.5m to 1.9m length, 5 per 2.0m to 2.4m length and 6 per 2.5m to 3m of TripStop to firmly hold the length in position during the pour.
TripStop uses 6.3mm galvanized steel Pegs and one plastic Wedge per Peg to fix the TripStop in place whilst the concrete is poured. We offer 5 Peg sizes. 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 350mm and 400mm long pegs for the different length profiles and/or different soil types. Depending on soil type you can select what Peg length you need with your order.
In most cases, it takes less time to install a piece of TripStop than it does to do a dummy joint. Its far quicker than installing a Dowel and easier than any expansion joint. No flimsy metal or plastic Key joints and no painful Inserter Bars that require cleaning are used installing TripStop.
TripStop can be installed by anyone who can lay concrete. You can even screed off TripStop.
